INDEPENDENT STUDY ART (FILM & VIDEO) (H)– Course #970001/2H
We are surrounded by video, from Netflix to YouTube, infomercials to Hollywood blockbusters. At its core, filmmaking is a storytelling process that aims create an impact on its audience. In this class, students will watch and create films to investigate how film as a medium can communicate ideas. Working both independently and collaboratively, students will explore areas of filmmaking such as visual storytelling, constructing a narrative, camera operation, lighting & sound, video editing, and film studies.
